DEFRENE: There you are.
TOM: Hello Defrene.
DEFRENE: We are not suggesting that you take the first plane to Antarctica to escape the sun.
TOM: Ok.
DEFRENE: With that description of the behavior of the boy in that book, we were giving you an example of what happens if you hold too tight the desired emotions, without looking and feeling where you are at - at that point in time. So for example, if you are angry, you so wish you are not angry that you try to force yourself not to be angry and then try to shovel these anger feelings under the carpet. But the problem is that they wont go way if you don't see them.
TOM: So the thing is to experience them?
DEFRENE: Yes, and there are many different ways to give expression to the emotion of anger. It does not mean that you can just take your fist and push that other person on the nose.
TOM: Ok. So that would be healthy - to express the emotions rather than to sweep them aside and say "I only want to see sunny days".
DEFRENE: Yes, and also to become aware that you have them and to accept them as they are. That will help you in being able to let that emotion flow out of you as a cloud in the wind.
TOM: So give it release in order to feel calmer?
DEFRENE: Indeed, and you first need to notice it in order to be able to release it.
TOM: So kind of step back - take a psychological step backwards and notice it and then allow its release.
DEFRENE: Indeed. And we want to stress that there are many ways to release to such an emotion.
TOM: Would you like to give some examples?
DEFRENE: For instance, if you notice that you are angry in a situation with a close friend, you can say "Sorry, I'm very upset at the moment and I need some time alone. I will get back to you." And you walk out of the room momentarily. And when you feel ready you can return to that person, whether it is through writing through calling through visiting, when you have calmed down a bit, so that you can sort it out together.
TOM: It's good to visualize the anger as a cloud and let it release.
DEFRENE: Yes, that will be a good imagery. And also to... when you see that person again, offer this person a clear explanation of what you feel. You don't have to explain why you feel that always, but it's important to be clear to yourself also: "What do I feel"? Before you rationalize the feeling.
TOM: So identify the emotion first before rationalizing or trying to justify it even.
DEFRENE: Indeed. First feel - just feel what is happening inside of you, because its very easy to sweep the feeling away and because you don't allow the feeling (you) rationalize it or give it a meaning. But the feeling in itself has a meaning without you attaching one separately from it. It is. The emotion is. You cannot pretend it's not there.
TOM: And a lot of times we will do that. We will think it's about something else or somebody else or some situation and then just focus our mind on the rational thing - trying to sweep the emotion away.
DEFRENE: To be able to sweep it away as soon as possible like; oh I don't want to feel this, let's push it aside with (these) words. It's like bad T-pex. You can still read the feeling underneath but not enough to be able to let go.
(Note: T-pex is a brand of correction fluid.)
TOM: Then that causes problems when we sweep it under the carpet - our emotional states - and it blocks up our energy for a period of time.
DEFRENE: Yes. You just cover it under a layer. It's ok to think about the reasons why you feel this emotion but not to cover it up. We hope this is clear to you.
TOM: Yes it is, very clear.
DEFRENE: And it also shed some more light on what we mean with "allow yourself to feel the emotion".
TOM: Yes it does.
DEFRENE: Maybe a clearer example than in our last conversation with the supermarket.
TOM: Yes... it does help me and I'm looking forward to applying that. I think I will get good results from that. Is there anything I need to be "Triple A-ing" or identifying beliefs when that emotion occurs and I get angry? Should I be looking in that direction?
DEFRENE: It will happen naturally. The Triple A is what you do if you acknowledge a feeling. You feel it and you allow yourself to feel it and after that come the second A and after that you can let go. And it mostly happens naturally if you allow it. But the Triple A - the conscious Triple A process can help you to focus. But people will Triple A naturally if they are more in touch with their feelings.
TOM: I didn't know that. Ah, that explains why some people are better at it than others.
DEFRENE: Indeed. The first A is very important and often shoveled away by the second.
TOM: So acknowledging is the most important and it's often shoveled away by the addressing - it's addressed by a shovel.
DEFRENE: It's like when you do an activity you need first to finish the first step before going to the second.
TOM: I see. That makes sense. Yes. Acknowledge it, experience the emotion, and know clearly what it is about before addressing it.
DEFRENE: Indeed. And if you allow yourself to feel an emotion, for instance you are sad and you have to cry. If you allow yourself to fully cry it will stop at a certain point. You will not be crying forever. It will take its natural rhythm and then you automatically go to the second A. You don't have to force that, it will happen by itself and that's something that is easily missed.
TOM: And for people - I would say mostly men - where it's not socially acceptable for men to cry and men that maybe haven't cry in 10 15 years, they're missing out then on this natural process.
DEFRENE: They might miss out on it with that particular emotion. And it will be a thing that they will need to practice to allow them self. And of course there (are) always situations for men and women alike where you just (do) not feel comfortable enough to cry. And then it's important to find you own private space whether it's at that time or later, to go in to the whole process.
TOM: Re-experience the emotion and cry.
DEFRENE: Indeed. Or of course, (an) other situation will arise where you can do it.
TOM: Yes. It will arise naturally - another situation where you will experience the same emotion that you didn't deal with last time.
DEFRENE: Indeed. And also, we fully understand that is sometimes not possible to go through the whole process at that time. We are aware of the cultural...
TOM: Limitations.
DEFRENE: Yes. Some people, some men and women allow themselves to cry later watching a movie with a similar theme as their own issues.
TOM: So, we do ourselves a disservice if we have a policy to never cry?
DEFRENE: Indeed. It's not natural to never cry.
TOM: I didn't know that, wow.
DEFRENE: You have these eyes with the possibility of creating tears not for nothing.
TOM: Ok, very nicely said - very nice.
DEFRENE: Nothing is wasted in nature. And don't force yourself with it either. It will take the steps it needs to take.
TOM: Ok, I will work on that, that's very informative, I going to try and get this posted on the internet too because I think other people will find this beneficial as well.
DEFRENE: We would be glad to share this information.
TOM: Thank you.
DEFRENE: And with that we will continue our other activities. We are joking of course, but we will be back at a different time.

Here I am in this now not knowing where to go,
yet within my spirit I'm trusting in the flow
For all of us are living pledges from our heart,
that set us on this journey way back in the start
We each picked out the role we wanted to fulfil,
this focus learning energy feels like going up a hill
But from that peak we get to see the choices we have made,
to feel and know within our hearts we need not be afraid
For life is simple pleasures lived in every moment,
when our heart beats lovingly we simply need to own it
We did not come with manuals which show us what to do,
when another’s pain appears from something we may do
I choose and trust the process in this moment if we be,
aware that what I give out always returns to me
Express love and acceptance in nought need we defend,
for God's own higher workings are our assured end
That doesn't mean that we have nothing we need do,
it means to show persistence and live each Now anew
To find our way and know in recognising that,
we all can carry baggage when viewing from the back
So let us all agree that everyone of us,
has valid reasons to perceive I deserve the fuss
But that will get us nowhere in sharing love and joy,
we need to feel the pleasures in this life as we enjoy
Each and every moment with its triumphs and its trials,
has potential always to guide us onto smiles
I would ask that you each see me as I am,
a truly loving spirit growing as a human
And when I look at you there also do I see,
a truly loving spirit seeking to be free
We can really honour one another as we are,
if when we look to blame we recognise the star
Within each one of us eternal shining bright,

Buzz Around Upcoming “Lotus Mind” Workshop
John Hawkins-TORONTO-MAR0307 | KRIS, THAT CHARMING ENTITY channeled here in Toronto by Serge J. Grandbois, has been making some startling claims about his workshop entitled *‘The Lotus Mind’, coming up in June. Apparently, in this workshop, we are being offered the opportunity to get off our fences - and our couches - and become active participants in ‘The Shift’. To quote Kris…

The Secret Behind ‘The Secret’
My name is John Hawkins and I attend, as your faithful reporter, almost every Kris presentation – public anyway – and post my recaps on *New World View. This gives me a ring-side seat on this phenomena and Kris has taken us on some amazing journeys over the last couple of years. Of course we should take all of this stuff with a grain of salt, but we also give credit where credit is due.
Certainly the world is changing before our very eyes. You may have seen ‘The Secret’ or watched recent Oprah or Larry King shows about ‘The Law of Attraction’. Many may not know that the origin of this ‘secret’ is channeled material from a number of different sources, including Abraham-Hicks.
Kris is a channeled ‘energy personality essence’ in the same line as Seth, Abe, Elias and etc. While many of these channeled sources present similar material, there is wide variety in their tone. Kris’ outspoken but compassionate tone has been compared to Seth, another outspoken but very compassionate and down-to-earth essence channeled by Jane Roberts.
Kris has suggested that the real secret is our imagination, not so much this ‘law’ of attraction they talk about, but more an innate property of all of consciousness, even All That Is. Allowing our playful imagination will manifest wonders on our behalf, as Kris tells us…
“…as soon as you make the proper allowances, then all events, circumstances and situations are to your advantage, as far as your personal construction of reality is concerned.”
The Lotus Mind Workshop
Kris has told us that ‘The Lotus Mind’ workshop is not for the ‘faint of heart’. The focal point will be the lotus plant, with its roots in the muddy water feeding the lovely blossom floating on the surface. By contemplating the lotus we gain a new understanding of our whole selves and immediately start harvesting the benefits of honoring the ‘muddy roots’ of physical life.
The analogy of the lotus is usually used to show us how to transcend our base, material origins, and achieve a beautiful new life far removed from our humble beginnings. Kris is adamant that we need to embrace our physicality and ‘get our hands dirty’ to appreciate our whole self as expressed here in physical life. We get nowhere by trying to deny our physicality – this is an increasingly frantic game that usually ends badly.
Being at a Kris Workshop
I have been to a couple of workshops with Kris and can tell you what to expect. Bring a blanket, exercise mat, or ‘throw’ of some kind, because you may spend some time on the floor for various activities.
Usually Kris speaks, or officiates, during most of the workshop so you will be getting Kris ‘online’ for up to four hours a day for the two days. This means there is usually lots of time for questions and interaction.
Kris will often lead us in group activities; perhaps something as elaborate as a Sacred Ceremony involving water, leaves, seeds, and grains of rice, or perhaps something as simple as a group hug. Whatever the activity, Kris is an active participant, front and centre.
