Several nights ago, i received two different impressions of the name Rio. Now, i know that rio means river in Spanish. However i don't believe that the name Rio necessarily means river. In the first impression that sentence i heard was: His name is Rio and he grows vegetables. The second impression was simply the ...

Ray,
One place to start is with epistemology, review what assumptions are you take as givens, your truths. I wouldn't say to abandon the analytical, just situate within the larger grouping of ways of knowing = physical senses, mental/analytical, inner senses. Include the inner senses! This is a premodern and postmodern move, something lost ...

Hi Robert, Jan, Jean, Monique, others,
Thanks for fleshing out one of my earlier points Robert, namely, that our inner senses allow us to merge with concepts, actions, and things in Framework 1 terms (Elias uses Regional Area 1, Kris Level 1, etc., but a Rose by any other name is still a Rose!).
We all agree that a human is somehow different ...

Hi All,
I remember rereading The Magical Approach on a Maui vacation with Joanne in 1995 when I was increasingly stressed out with my Science Museum career (I would quit in Feb. 1997 and never look back). It was such a wonderful reminder of the values I held so dear, and yet were so in the closet during that period of my life. I gave that copy of ...

So CUs get distorted sometimes into things, its, particles that are physical, which is true but partial, of course.
My point ...

Is there a soul? Is there an afterlife? What about reincarnation? In the spirit of William James and F.W.H. Meyers, Miles Edward Allen provides an overview of scientific evidence for the existence of ...

Hi Mike,
Not to veer off topic too far, but your ''missing time'' episodes sound more like ''shifted time'', the kind that Elias has offered some info on. For instance, in session 186, June 22, 1997:
BOB: Elias, I have a question. Last November, I had an unusual experience involving time. I don’t know if you need more of an explanation ...

I’m finishing up work on my Integral Certificate from Ken Wilber’s Integral Institute in conjunction with Fielding Graduate University. I’m in the first cohort to graduate next month, and it’s been an incredible year-long experience. I’ve been studying Ken’s work for over ten years now, and can clearly see how it lays a solid foundation for what ...

I love to fly, whether it’s a jet or in my dreams, because I get this incredible sense of freedom and perspective. Joanne and I recently flew to Toronto to participate in a Kris workshop. I had a window seat and spent a lot of time looking at the amazing aerial views while my MP3 player provided a custom soundtrack. Leaving Los Angeles, we flew ...
